Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation and Visual Effects
What used to be a traditional field where you learned to draw characters, landscapes and effects by hand, is now a computer generated field of study starting with a fundamental knowledge of computer graphics. Students will acquire a broad understanding of computer-generated images both in 2-D and 3-D applications, learn and apply the arts and crafts of story telling, animation, motion graphics and digital visual effects with a view to preparing themselves for advanced work in animation and other related fields. This can be applied to many careers in not only the entertainment realm but also advertising, news delivery, broadcast and media as well as gaming.
